Alone // Together is an exploration of intimacy. What began as an innocuous experiment in the speed at which I could create gesture drawings of two close friends engaging in sex, quickly transformed into a deeply personal reflection on the emphasis we place on intimacy in love.
The real impact of this project was in the reaction it elicited in others. In exhibiting the work, those in relationships fondly reflected on their own relationships, while single observers found themselves feeling lonely and yearning for that same connection.
